Technical Post Hardcore “Faces Of Eve” Announce Debut Album

Talented youngsters FACES OF EVE are delighted to announce their debut self-titled LP, due August 25.

FACES OF EVE are a band who stand above their peers in the British progressive metal scene. Melding elements of technical post-hardcore, metalcore, and tech metal, the young band are back with their Faces of Eve LP.

Reminiscent of Exit TenEmarosa, and Coheed and CambriaFACES OF EVE are led by Benjamin Black’s expressive clean vocals, and backed by the band’s wickedly tight and furiously frenetic rhythm section. Unafraid at times to demonstrate a more pop and soulful sound, the band have a full-range of emotion on display on this fine debut.

Recorded with Timfy from Hacktivist, the band are certainly not slacking. A co-headline run with Lincoln tech-metallers Borders completed in the Spring; FACES OF EVE then went on to a short headline run at the end of June, along with a show supporting Drewsif Stalin in London. A further headline tour is pending for late summer.

A band who’ve previously played alongside Holding AbsenceNapoleonCrazy TownMartyr DefiledSlaughter To Prevail and more, FACES OF EVE could well be a band to watch in future.

The Cruel Knifes Release New Single “Kill The Messenger”

Sid Glover and Rob Ellershaw of Heaven’s Basement, together with Tom Harris and Al Junior, form new band THE CRUEL KNIVES. After supporting The Pretty Reckless on their sold out European tour earlier in the year, the band successfully surpassed their PledgeMusic target and have now announced the release of their long-awaited debut EP “Side One”, out on 28th July 2017 and available to pre-order on Pledge now: http://bit.ly/2j0E4lY

The band says: “After getting the chance to test drive these songs on tour we’ve worked tirelessly to make sure this debut EP is the perfect example of what we’re about. Considering we’re a brand new band that’s only had one song available for most of the Pledge campaign, the support has been awesome.”

The British rockers have also released a stream of new single “Kill The Messenger” which you can check out here: https://youtu.be/kEyjPPQYW8I

“Side One” tracklisting:

Fort Fest Cancelled!?

It is with great regret that the organisers of Fort Fest have had to cancel the 2017 event.

Despite the strong line up featuring Pulled Apart By HorsesRolo TomassiToploaderFort Hope,Normandie and many more, the three-day festival as Scald End Farm in Bedfordshire will not be taking place on 4-6 August due to low ticket sales.

Jon Hewitt said on behalf of organisers The Fort Records: “We are deeply saddened that we have had to cancel Fort Fest. After a very promising start last year, ticket sales have been extremely disappointing and there was no prospect of us being able to deliver the festival that we had planned or that everyone involved deserves. We would like to apologise to everyone who has bought tickets and to the bands and traders that supported Fort Fest.  Full refunds will, of course, be forthcoming this week.”

All ticket holders will be refunded with the next seven days.
